Healthcare Assistant Night Shift

**The length of the shift is 12 hours, starting at 20:00 and finishing at 08:00am.**
- **Responsibilities/Duties for the healthcare assistant**:_
- Attend to Resident’s individual and personal care needs in accordance with individual care plans to ensure safety and care of Residents and to promote independence
- To act as a key worker for designated residents
- Responding promptly to call bells and emergency calls
- To report any accidents or unexplained injuries immediately to person in charge
- To ensure that any aids e.g. Dentures, Hearing Aids, Spectacles, etc are fitted, cleaned and in working order
- Complete all charts / documentation, and maintain records, as required
- To be aware of all fire exit means of escape from the Home
- To adhere to the policy relating to personal appearance and the uniform policy whilst on duty
- To report to the Person in Charge any changes in individual residents condition and any other relevant matter
- To report to the Person in Charge any verbal concerns or complaints raised by the resident or visitors
- To respect the rights of residents including privacy, dignity and confidentiality
- To assist in the serving and clearing of meals, snacks, and drinks
- To undertake any training necessary for the completion of your duties. To be aware of Mandatory training and dates to attend training

- From time to time you may be required to carry out duties for other job roles if necessary, adequate training will be provided if this is the case

- Compliance with Company Regulations. You are expected to read and understand those regulations which are applicable to your specific job role.

**Qualifications and Skills**:
Healthcare or Support Work experience would be beneficial, however full training and support will be offered so it is not essential.
