Setter Operator

International Packaging Corporation (Interpak) is seeking a Setter Operator to assist with duties within the manufacturing facility.

Based in Maybole, Ayrshire this is a wide-ranging role offering an excellent opportunity to develop within the business.

Experience preferred but not essential as full on-the-job training will be given.

You will be able to work independently and as part of a team. You will be professional in your approach but also enthusiastic and self motivating and will display the sort of “can do” attitude essential to success in a small business environment.

**Terms**
- Reporting to the Operations Manager
- Salary - commensurate with National Living Wage / National Minimum Wage levels and dependent on experience

**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday - 39 hrs

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- You will be expected to set and operate machine tools producing high quality components
- Ensure the safe set up and operation of our bespoke machinery and equipment
- To trouble-shoot and correct issues
- Plan ahead for production changes by ensuring they have all the relevant tools, materials and equipment for the next change over
- Perform maintenance duties as required
- To develop operators as requested by Management to develop setting skills of their own

**Requirements**:

- Flexible approach and positive attitude whilst being able to remain calm under pressure
- Possesses good communication skills and a “can do” attitude
- Experience of working in a Manufacturing environment, in an operator role with a mechanical flare / knowledge
- Previous experience within a Technician position, or an operator ready to move to technician role
- A mechanical aptitude or background
- Ability to do small to moderate repairs on machinery and demonstrate experience in working with machinery
- Have proven engineering and/or manufacturing experience to demonstrate pragmatic approach to problem solving
- Basic IT skills would be advantageous

**Salary**: £21,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
