Topical, informative and smart, Grazia is the home of this week’s biggest news stories and talking points as they happen, smart shoppable fashion, the most up-to-date trends from the runway, red carpet and the street.

**The focus of your role**:
Assisting the Editor in all areas of running the brand, deputising and making all decisions relating to the editorial in her absence. The overall aim of the role is to maintain brand’s competitive advantage in the market, ensure digital targets are being met and with direct specific responsibility for celebrity, beauty and health content across all platforms.

**Role Responsibility**:

- Working closely with the Editor over all areas of the magazine
- Deputising for the Editor in her absence
- Managing the Features Director and Features Editor to ensure that Grazia is highly regarded by the industry and readers alike for the quality of its features content
- Ensure smooth running of the magazine where issues are planned in advance, copy meets deadlines and all departments run within budget
- Work with features team, planning all features and visuals for advance issues and monthly digital content and specials
- Personally leading and constantly developing features and news areas
- Attending planning meetings with the Editor and any others required
- Originating ideas at all times
- Approving copy and pictures, where it is deemed necessary
- Commissioning and writing as required as well as final rewrites
- Spotting the right kind of PR opportunities to heighten the profile of the magazine in all areas
- Working closely to ensure commercial and editorial team are joined up - and maximising all opportunities for revenue
- Assisting the Editor in drawing up the flatplan, liaising with the ad team and production director over any necessary changes
- Understand the employee handbook and procedures fully; help train all writers and encourage all staff to achieve highest possible standards of work
- Helping heads of department to train and manage junior members of staff
- Ensuring that good office practice is maintained at all times
- Assisting the Editor and Digital Director to ensure a 360 workflow across print and digital
