**CAD Technician**

**Job Location**:Blandford, Dorset

**Job Type**:Permanent

**Salary**:£30,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience

**Hours**:40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm

We are currently working with a leading Manufacturing company who are seeking a talented CAD Technician to join their friendly and hardworking team at their site based in Blandford.
- Ensure issued designs are compliant with applicable codes, statutory regulations, prevailing standards, policies & procedures relevant to medical equipment (devices)
- Continual improvement of established ranges through engineering changes (ECN)
- Preparation of data for parts, fabrications & assemblies, e.g., 3D / 2D Modelling & drawings, BOM's, technical specifications, etc.
- Generation of part & product specifications, product manuals & assembly instructions
- Investigate design factors such as function, materials, performance, interchangeability, cost & operational efficiency
- Preparation of material, cost & timing estimates, reports & design specifications
- Ensure that all drawings are correctly maintained & appropriately stored
- Qualified in Design engineering or manufacturing i.e., BTec, City & Guilds, BEng etc
- 2D / 3D modelling experience i.e., AutoCAD, Creo, Solidworks
- Experience of 2D drafting & 3D modelling/ detailing
- Understanding of manufacturing processes within sheet metal / fabrication
- Experience / understanding of design change process
