Uat Tester

We are looking for a UAT Tester to join our IT Team at Cygnet.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT) is a stage of a software development life cycle. This is when users test the software to see if it is able to carry out the required tasks it was designed to address in real-world situations.

**Your duties and responsibilities will be **
- Provide initial investigation into bugs which come into the development team.
- Run manual and automated tests - experience with automatic testing tools would be beneficial.
- Write bug reports
- Provide quality assurance.
- Provide objective feedback to software development project teams
- Troubleshoot and problem solve
- Design tests to mitigate risk
- Present findings to software development and business user teams
- Work on multiple projects at one time
- Communicate findings to technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Analysing users stories and/use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility
- Documenting test scripts and cases from the user stories and requirements.
- Collaborate closely with other team members and departments
- Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts when needed.
- Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies.
- Provide timely solutions.
- Provide support and documentation
- Provide documentation on functionality and expected behaviour of developments to business teams.

**You will have **
- 3+ years of experience as a Software Tester or similar role
- experience of testing automation tools desirable
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with mínimal supervision
- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Team player
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
