A competitive salary of £35-40,000 pro-rata for a part-time role of 12hrs per week (6 days per month)
Community Living are currently recruiting for an experienced PBS Practitioner to join our team and work within our Supported Living service.
Cheam House provides supported accommodation to adults diagnosed with autism and learning disabilities.
In the role as PBS Practitioner you will have the opportunity to develop your existing skills with further opportunity to undertake higher level training. Your role will require a high level of resilience as the people we are supporting can display complex behaviours of concern.
**The Opportunity**:
The PBS Practitioner/Behaviour Analyst is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of interventions that will lead to a positive increase in the quality of life of each service user and their stakeholders.
You will focus on two service users, with the opportunity to advise on other support in the service and to be part of the wider Behaviour Support Team.
You will be supervised and mentored in your role to undertake current company practices that promotes person centred planning, care and monitoring of outcomes. You will have access to in-house and external training to grow your own skills and pass these on to the team.

- Attend supervisions with your line manager.
- Build rapport with service users and the teams.

- Be able to work effectively in teams and communicate with Service Managers and support workers
- Liaise with other professionals and feedback at MDTs
- Have empathy and compassion towards service users and stakeholders (including family members)
- Run relevant assessments including FBA’s & QoL
- Support with communication, daily living and vocational skills (amongst others)
- Be confident to run training for teams in Behaviour Analysis/Positive Behaviour Support and associated technologies/interventions
- Be able to support with transitions from other locations/settings. This will involve working at the client’s current location i.e., home or hospital setting
- Write FBA reports and plan function-based interventions based upon the research literature
- Develop high quality Behaviour Support Plans based on Behaviour Analytic principles
- Collect and analyse data - including both quantitative and qualitative
- Be accountable for the effective delivery of interventions and data collection within the service
- Using strategies such as BST, model and be ‘hands on’ in the service.
- Attend regular meetings within the service as well as ad-hoc meetings as requested by Clinical Director and Servicer Manger.
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Be able to manage crises
- Be able to support well-being within teams.
**Qualifications Considered**:
**Essential**:
- Level 5 (Diploma) in PBS
- Registered with (or prepared to be) UK-SBA as a full member
- Working towards (or willing to) RBT or UKBA status.
**Desirable**:
- Masters Degree in ABA/PBS
- Behaviour Analyst - BCBA/UKBA(cert) - with the BACB© and/or UKSBA**Experience**:
- Working with adults or young people with an autism diagnosis & LD
- Working with adults with mental health diagnoses for 2-5 years.
- Working in a PBS Framework
- A background in Psychology
- Working in MDTs
- Running assessments such as FBAs and designing interventions
- Writing behaviour support plans and associated reports/documents
- Training teams (face to face and remote)
- Managing complex behaviours of concern
- Collecting, analysing and reporting data with ease
- Supporting communication, daily living and vocational skills.
**Salary**: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
