**We have an exciting role for an experienced Kitchen Porter, working at one of our prestigious contracts.**

**JOB PURPOSE**:
Working as part of a team in beautiful location, assisting in the day to day running of the kitchen area. Along with the chefs and front of house team, complying with all hygiene and health and safety rules and regulations.

Working up to 20 hours per week on a rota,

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assisting with the smooth running of the kitchen production areas.
- Assisting in basic food preparation.
- Cleaning pots, pans and any other kitchen utensils.
- Maintain the kitchen work areas in accordance with HACCP regulations.
- Storing away all crockery, cutlery, and glassware.
- Sweeping and mopping the kitchen floor.
- Keeping the storerooms well stocked and always organized.
- Complying with the daily cleaning rotas.
- Attending company training programmes when required.
- Accepting food deliveries from suppliers and storing them.
- Health & Safety procedures including control of substances harmful to Health (COSHH).

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**

**Experience and knowledge**:
**Essential**
- 1 or more years practical experience of working in a busy kitchen environment.
- Possessing a high standard of personal hygiene & appearance.

**Desirable**
- Previous experience working in food services an advantage.

**Skills, personal attributes, and behaviours**:

- Excellent Communicator
- Ability to prioritise tasks.

Other:
Able to work flexible work patterns, including bank and public holidays, weekends, when required. Ideally able to commute as site is remote with no access to public transport.

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour
