**Job Title: Night Porter - Anderton Centre**

**Location** Anderton Centre, New Road, Anderton, Chorley, Lancashire PR6 9HG

**Hours** Annualised hour’s equivalent to 45 hours per week across 3 shifts, including a 7-hour on-call sleeping duty.

**Salary** £10.50 (Per hour) £24,570 (per annum)

We are currently seeking a dedicated and responsible Night Porter to join our team. As a Night Porter, you will play a key role in creating a safe and enjoyable environment for our residential guests. Your responsibilities will include:

- Security, ensuring the safety and security of the premises during night hours.
- Cleaning, and conducting cleaning duties in designated areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Tuck Shop, assisting with the operation of the tuck shop, including stock management and customer service.
- Vehicle Checks, conducting routine checks on vehicles to ensure they are in proper working order.
- Conference Set Up, supporting the setup and preparation of conference rooms and facilities.

**Key Requirements**
- Prior experience in a similar role or a strong willingness to learn.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Ability to work independently and make responsible decisions.
- Flexibility to work night shifts and on-call sleeping duty.
- Able to cope with the physical demands of the role.

Security
- Ensure the safety and security of the premises during night hours.
- Conduct regular patrols of the site to monitor for any security breaches or unusual activities.
- Respond promptly to any security incidents or emergencies, following established protocols.
- Collaborate with other team members to maintain a secure and peaceful environment.

Cleaning
- Conduct cleaning duties in designated areas, such as guest rooms, common areas, and facilities, to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to the required standards.
- Follow established cleaning schedules and protocols, including the proper use of cleaning equipment and materials.
- Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate personnel.

Tuck Shop
- Assist in the operation of the tuck shop, including restocking shelves and managing inventory.
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service to guests, ensuring their needs and requests are met.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly, following established cash-handling procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized tuck shop area.

Vehicle Checks
- Conduct routine checks on vehicles used by the Centre to ensure they are in proper working order.
- Check fuel levels, tire pressure, and general vehicle condition before and after each use.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Keep accurate records of vehicle inspections and maintenance activities.

Conference Set Up
- Support the setup and preparation of conference rooms and facilities for events and meetings.
- Arrange furniture, equipment, and materials according to provided instructions.
- Ensure that audio-visual equipment, lighting, and temperature controls are functioning properly.
- Assist with technical support during conferences, troubleshooting any issues that may arise.

**On Call**

During the on-call sleeping duty, the Night Porter at the Anderton Centre will have specific responsibilities to ensure the safety and well-being of the premises and its guests. These responsibilities include
- The Night Porter must remain accessible and ready to respond to any emergencies or incidents that may arise during the on-call sleeping duty period.
- Promptly a
