EHS Coordinator

SF Recruitment is recruiting for a Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator, this is a 12 month maternity cover.

The client is based in Eastwood, this is a brilliant opportunity for someone who has a real passion for health and safety and wants to develop and progress within a role like this.

The role:

- To support the EHS Manager EMEA in providing leadership on Environment Health and Safety (EH&S) to the organisation and advise and guide managers within the Company with respect to Occupational Health & Safety & Environmental Policies and Procedures.
- To support the EHS Manager EMEA in identification and delivery of strategies, for instance, EH&S annual plan, Key Safety Performance Indicators, safety behaviour across the workforce, safety campaigns, competency management.
- To ensure appropriate recordkeeping to monitor compliance and meet regulatory requirements.
- To work with the EHS Manager EMEA and undertake job safety analysis to identify risks in the workplace and propose/deliver initiatives to eliminate or control these risks.
- Assist the EHS Manager EMEA in coordination and of accident investigations including the review all first reports of injury and near miss/accident investigations and where directed, participate in development of a Corrective Action Plan, liaise and co-operate with third parties such as ORR, customers and suppliers.
- To assist in the delivery of periodic safety training sessions.
- To assist in monitoring the overall Health and Safety and Environmental performance of the Company.
- Conduct and record safety tours, safety inspections to plan, machine audits and sidings/site surveys.
- To act as point of contact for the Environmental Health and Safety Manager as required.

Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:15pm and an early finish on a Friday,
