William Hulme’s Grammar School (WHGS) is a well-established 3-18 Academy and is one of the most over-subscribed schools in Greater Manchester with a long and distinguished history. You will have proven leadership qualities, excellent classroom practice and strong experience in teaching science and whilst experience of teaching A Level Chemistry is desirable, it is not essential. We, in turn, are committed to developing these qualities further through excellent professional development opportunities.

You will be leading a department of dedicated and committed colleagues who are keen to raise the profile of chemistry through a strong extra-curricular offering. This includes KS3 science clubs, STEM club and the Chemistry Olympiad.

You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the use of IT and will have a proven track record of leadership, line management and pastoral care.
