**BASIC SALARY**: £45,000 - £55,000

**JOB DESCRIPTION**: Technical Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Engineer, Area Sales Manager - Plant Machinery, Construction

Managing across all our markets; you will initially be tasked with maximising our popular product exposure along with trying to find suitable customers for additional products we sell less of. There are also numerous customers we don't currently sell to, somuch of your focus will be towards breaking into those accounts too. You will be supported / mentored by and report directly to, our Managing Director. This is a technical sales role and comes with a high level of autonomy.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

- Develop New Accounts (80%) - Establishing relationships, understanding technical requirements, and generating sales, through specification, based on your knowledge and expertise
- Account Management (20%) - Both your own and existing business depending on the product portfolio
- Spending 2 days a week in the field meeting existing and new customers. You will be expected to attend 3- 4 visits per day when you are on the road.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**: Technical Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Engineer, Area Sales Manager - Plant Machinery, Construction

As the Technical Sales Manager you will be adept at both sales and account management and be looking for a role where you will have freedom and flexibility which will naturally come with accountability.

In addition to this you will also have:

- Solid experience of selling specialist technical equipment, heavy plant machinery or capital equipment selling into the construction or associated industries
- Hold a degree level qualification or have the equivalent work-based experience in engineering
- The desire to manage your own diary and territory across the UK
- The drive to regularly update your technical knowledge about the latest solutions and develop a clear understanding of the competitive landscape
