**About the opportunity**
Our Water and Environment operating unit provides a focus for advising our clients on the development of water projects using engineering analysis and design expertise to drive innovation and excellence in everything we do. Our mission is to be a global leader that puts water at the heart of a sustainable society.
To meet our growing UK business needs and future development aspirations we are looking for experienced Wastewater Modellers to join our multi-disciplinary team and provide technical consultancy services to develop successful projects up to £2million in value from conception through to delivery, solving problems that matter to our clients and their customers - reducing flooding and pollution and optimising performance of their systems.
**About You**:
- Work with multi-disciplinary teams to help deliver projects within agreed timeframes and budgets and to exceed our clients’ expectations.
- Undertake construction, verification and analysis of hydraulic sewer network models using Infoworks ICM software to inform and understand wastewater network performance and accurately quantify project risk.
- Undertake optioneering assessments to provide effective design of system improvements and enhancements that resolve sewer flooding, mitigate the effects of development, and to address unsatisfactory spills from combined sewer overflows.
- Prepare technical reports and deliverables, ensuring quality of modelling outputs and compliance with standards, specifications and governance requirements.
- Maintain strong and collaborative working relationships and interactions with the client.
- Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement by providing technical guidance and support to other members of the team.
**Here’s What You’ll Need**:
- Good understanding and experience within the water industry with a focus on wastewater networks, including design of wastewater projects, sewage pumping systems and treatment facilities.
- Proven experience of wastewater modelling software such as InfoWorks ICM, and associated bolt-on packages.
- Working knowledge of using GIS tools (MapInfo, ArcGIS, InfoNet)
- Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum of an Honours Civil Engineering Degree (NFQ Level 8), or similar relevant Degree.
- Chartered with a professional institution or working toward Chartered status
