Treasury Accountant

Gleeson Recruitment Group is partnering with a strong, successful business in the retail industry to appoint a new Management Accountant. This company is a fast paced, multi-location, growing business with a strong grip in their niche market. You'll be joininga supportive team with a wealth of experience who will be able to help you get up to speed instantly.

Based on the border of Birmingham and Staffordshire, you'll be within commuting distance of several big hubs in the region and with on-site parking getting to work will not be a headache. You'll also be able to work from home 2 or 3 days a week.

**The role**:
Sat within the Management Accounting team, your day to day will consist of:

- Be a leading voice within the finance team
- Improve and uphold our internal processes for compliance, control in the production of the management accounts
- Manage a team of 6 Treasury Assistants
- Support the production of month end accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage the treasury function - responsible for day to day banking and reconciliations
- Maintain daily cashflow forecasts and FX requirements
- Ensure robust frameworks, processes & controls are in place, and regularly monitored to ensure accurate reporting
- Posting to the G/L and reviewing prepayments and accruals
- Continuous improvement through regularly reviewing management information
- Business Partner across the business

**The person**:

- Commercial mindset
- CIMA qualified or similar
- Experience with Navision or similar is an advantage
- Strong Excel skills
- Diligent, conscientious and resilient individual who can work well in a fast paced environment
- Retail knowledge would be an advantage

**The package**:

- £45,000 p/a
