The Facility Engagement Co-ordinator will support the implementation of a clear communications strategy for the Windscale facility, as part of the pre-operations and business improvement team. The role holder will be responsible for:

- Liaison between the facility and corporate internal and external communications functions.
- Ensuring organisational information, initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders.
- Ensuring that internal communications are aligned and consistent with wider business communications.
- Planning, editing and creating content for internal communication pieces using a variety of mediums (Digital / written / visual / verbal).
- Responding to feedback at all levels and adjusting communications content and formatting accordingly.
- Contributing to the structure and presentation of business information and reporting for the purpose of continuous improvement.

This role will be based in Windscale with the ability to carry out hybrid working where appropriate.

Main Responsibilities
Main Responsibilities for Facility Engagement Co-Ordinator (Windscale):

- Promote overall nuclear safety (along with all other areas of safety - conventional, industrial, radiological, environmental) by maintaining a safe operating envelope.
- Support the business improvement team in executing and monitoring the communications strategy.
- Contribute to an effective governance and control environment to support safe delivery against plan, via the communication of business strategy and key performance indicators.
- maintain close working relationships with other plants and departments to be able to access information and share with the wider facility.
- Be a central point of contact to receive feedback to help understand the most effective methods of communication within the facility and create a two-way communications function.
- Identify and report poor standards of communication and information sharing and use problem solving skills and improvement techniques to bring these to an accountable level.
- Contribute to setting a standard of best practice in communications as part of the business improvement team.
- Create and share a variety of content to improve communications in Windscale.

Essential Criteria for Facility Engagement Co-Ordinator (Windscale):

- Experience of delivering communications strategies contributing to effective workplace communications.
- Experience in developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, supporting delivery of their projects.
- Experience of internal communication and or marketing in an operational environment would be advantageous.
- Experience in developing, implementing and supporting cultural change.
- Business, Communications or Marketing qualifications at an undergraduate or apprentice level and/or a relevant demonstrable level of experience.
- Ability to obtain SC level security clearance (this includes but is not limited to identity, employment, financial and criminal record checks plus 5 years’ worth of UK residency).

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to engage stakeholders and build strong collaborative relationships.
- Organised and methodical approach to receiving, interpreting and transmitting information.
- Acts as a role model to NNL’s values and behaviours.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire others to achieve goals.
