Camhs Cbt Therapist
We are looking for a BABCP accredited (high intensity) CBT therapist who is experienced in working with child and adolescent clinical populations, and hence is able to deliver therapy that is appropriately adapted to an individual's developmental level.
We would expect the therapist to be conversant with CYP IAPT/'Delivering With, Delivering Well' standards, and practiced in using ROMS and disorder specific outcome measures as part of evaluation and of their work, as well as part of ongoing team audit. It would also be helpful if the therapist has demonstrated experience of offering training and consultation to other professionals within and outside the team as necessary.
As a member of the CAMHS team, the therapist would be expected to participate in the core multi-disciplinary assessment and intervention work of the team, and engage in multi-agency liaison work as necessary. They would also be required to participate in the supervision, training and overall governance requirements of SPFT CAMHS.
The therapist will be part of a very busy but lively and welcoming CAMHS team, which offers a wide range of individual, group and systemic interventions, and is involved in a number of innovative evaluation and research projects and service developments. As such, you will be encouraged to develop your skills, ideas and interests to further your expertise and that of the team, in accordance with service needs.
Covid-19 full vaccination may be a condition of employment for this role, unless an exemption applies. The successful applicant may have contact with vulnerable service users and we will therefore seek proof of being fully vaccinated during the recruitment process.
We provide mental health and learning disability care for children, young people and adults across Sussex and for children and young people in Hampshire.
**Working in Sussex**:
- Travel easily between coast and countryside, with a blend of picturesque villages and seaside towns there’s always new experiences to be enjoyed
- Embrace the city life with great access to visit Brighton and London
- With easy access to Gatwick and Heathrow and excellent railway links across the UK there is plenty of opportunity for adventure
We’d love you to join our organisation that is rated ‘good’ overall and ‘outstanding’ for caring by the Care Quality Commission. Our staff agree, with 82% of people in our recent staff survey telling us that they recognise that care for patients is our top priority.
**Other key staff survey results include**:
- 70% highlighting flexible working opportunities as a key point for satisfaction at work
- 79% reporting feeling able to make suggestions to improve the work within their team
- 77% identifying the opportunities to show initiative in their roles
We encourage flexible working. We know that a positive work/ life balance brings about huge health-related benefits, which has a positive impact on the care we provide. Please speak to us about flexible working, for example, home-working, part time hours, flexible start/ finish times or anything else. If it works for you and works for the role, we'll do our best to make it happen.
