**About the role**:
As the **Lecturer in Foundation Studies**, you will continually improve the learning experience and achievement of students through effective teaching.
**Responsibilities as our **Lecturer in Foundation Studies** will include**:
- Teach on courses as agreed with the Head of Curriculum.
- Take on the responsibilities of a Foundation Personal tutor, when required.
- Prepare and mark student work, monitor progress towards individual targets, keep records and provide timely reports/reviews/EHCP feedback to students, parents, employers and College managers, as appropriate.
- Work closely with other colleagues to respond to the needs of students.
- Contribute to the design, delivery and future planning and development of the curriculum.
- Pay due attention to the principles of inclusive learning including: individual learning styles, support for students with SEND, extension resources/activities for students of higher ability, general resources, including the use of Digital Learning Technology.
- Organise and participate in relevant work experience and offsite visits as required
- Attend and contribute to relevant meetings, including Enrolment/Open Events and Parents’ Evening, as appropriate.
**As our **Lecturer in Foundation Studies**, **you’ll** **ideally have**:
- Appropriate teacher training qualification
- Record of continuous professional and career development
- Experience of high quality teaching to 16-25 year old students with SEND
- Experience of delivery of effective pastoral support and the development of Individual learning plans
- Able to work collaboratively with colleagues to develop effective course content across the Foundation curriculum offer
- Able to develop effective learning resources for Entry - Level 1
- Knowledge of appropriate health and safety requirements
