Adept are excited to be partnering with a leading Oil & Gas manufacturer who due to rapid growth within the past year are looking to recruit a CNC Machinist to join their shop floor team.

Shift Pattern - Monday to Thursday - 8.30pm to 7am**:

- NIGHTS**

**DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Set up and operate CNC machinery to produce precision components according to engineering specifications.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to plan machining processes.
- Develop and edit CNC programs using appropriate software to ensure accurate part dimensions and surface finishes.
- Perform tool changes, offsets, and adjustments to maintain optimal machine performance.
- Monitor machining operations and make real-time adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to verify conformance to specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during machining, making necessary adjustments to maintain production flow.
- Collaborate with the engineering and quality assurance teams to optimize machining processes and ensure product quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and quality standards at all times.
- Document production data, machine settings, and quality records accurately.

**SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:

- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, with a strong background in operating and programming CNC machinery.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Solid understanding of machining principles, tooling selection, and cutting parameters.
- Experience with CNC programming software and G-code programming.
- Familiarity with a variety of CNC machines such as lathes, mills, and multi-axis machining centres.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machining issues effectively.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality components.
- Excellent time management skills to meet production schedules.

Pay: £36,000.00-£38,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bredbury: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Machinist: 1 year (preferred)
