**Machine Operator/CNC Setter**

**Type**: Full time / Permanent

**Salary**: £29,000 - £31,000

**Shift**: Days

**Pattern**: 6 - 6 on a 12hr shift / first week 5 Days / second week 2 Days

We have an excellent opportunity to work for an Industry leading Manufacturing company in Gloucester. The company was founded in Gloucester and has gone from strength to strength with exciting growth forecast.

**Role Purpose**

To load, set and operate CNC machines, ensuring they are kept running in line with laid down production targets and the company's overalls goals for the delivery of cost-effective, high-quality products

**General Responsibility**
- Set and operate several CNC machines in a cell to produce high precision, high volume parts.
- Ensure quality of product by thorough quality checking, visually and use of measuring equipment.
- Adhere to company health and safety and environmental procedures
- Ensure work area is clean and tidy
- Look after tools and equipment provided
- Participate in teams and raise ideas for improvement/development
- Participate in the development and training of self and of others

**Knowledge and Skills**
- Experience in machining skills and knowledge of machine tools and their uses, metric dimensions and tolerances are an advantage
- Must be able to use a range of quality measuring equipment.
- High degree of near vision to identify and inspect for visual flaws and out of spec measurements, working within tolerances of +/- 5 microns
