Overview:
Stables pies require a part time bakery operative to work in our busy wholesale bakery based in Barrow (near Clitheroe). We are a family business who produce award winning pies for a variety of customers throughout Lancashire and Yorkshire.

The role will be between 16-20 hours between Monday - Friday. Although the ability to cover holidays and sickness is essential (and these may include nights).

Please note there is some heavy lifting required (16kg bags of flour).

Wages start from £11.50 an hour.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the preparation and production of our amazing pies.
- Measure and mix ingredients according to our recipes.
- Operate bakery equipment such as mixers, pastry sheeter’s and pie blocker.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations and equipment used.
- Follow food safety guidelines and adhere to HACCP standards.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in food production or bakery environment is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and HACCP guidelines and a level 2 in food safety and hygiene or willingness to obtain their level 2 qualification.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Be motivated, fun loving and flexible (you don’t need to be able to do the crab)

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From £11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 20 per week
