Landfill Aftercare Operative

**About The Role**

**Location: Betton Abbots, Shrewsbury**
- Salary £31,078.29 per annum / £15.88 per hour
- Working 37.5 hours per week
- Monday - Friday
- Full PPE provided

**What will I be doing?**

A vacancy has arisen for an Aftercare Assistant / Operative to support the day to day operations of operational and aftercare landfills within a medium sized geographical area. This will include active waste operations, restoration projects, gas management / generation and LTP’s.

This role involves:

- Responsible for the operation of mobile plant, various maintenance activities including pump and pipework maintenance, and conducting site inspections in line with policies and procedures.
- To ensure the efficient management and maintenance of landfill and aftercare operations, according to the sites environment permit, planning permission, energy supply agreements / contracts and land use / management agreements.
- You will be part of the team managing operational and aftercare landfills in your region.
- Focusing on the achievement of specified KPI’s is essential in driving efficiency in line with the facilities operational and provisions budget.

**What are the requirements?**
- You should have some previous landfill experience.
- You should also be willing to attend numerous training courses and preferably a valid first aid qualification.
- It is extremely important that this person is flexible and reliable and has the ability to learn new skills and put these into practice quickly.
