Ward Administrator

Working alongside the multidisciplinary team, you will provide day-to-day administrative support for the wards, including updating service users’ information, managing the ward diary, updating service users timetables and minute taking.

As a Ward Administrator, you will be responsible for arranging meetings and typing up all correspondence and documentations. Also to cover reception when needed which could include shifts and weekends.

**As a Ward Administrator you will be**:

- Assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of effective means of systems within the unit, and between units and groups
- Act as a link between the public, outside professionals and other hospital departments and wards in respect of routine telephone calls and general enquiries.
- Maintain as confidential, at all times, information regarding patients, staff and hospital business
- General upkeep and organisation of nurses office and ward managers office

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Communication and interpersonal skills - as you’ll be interacting with patients and other service users constantly
- Be confident in a patient environment.
- To be self-motivated
- To be willing to learn and work as part of a team.
- Experience using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Excellent Telephone Skills
- Be able to multi task efficiently
- Update telephone list, Contact IT
- Ability to meet deadlines.
