**POST**:Autism and ADHD Parenting Support Workers - Administration Officer

**HOURS**:18.75 hours per week

**LOCATION**:South & East Kent [Ashford, Canterbury, Dover, Folkestone & Hythe, Thanet]

**CONTRACT**:12 month Fixed-term contract

**SALARY**:£9,000 per annum actual (£18,000 full time equivalent)

**ANNUAL LEAVE**:25 days + 8 bank holiday days paid holiday

**PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION**

Whitehead-Ross Education and Consulting [WREC] is pleased and excited to be delivering “The Together with Parents” service supporting the outcomes for the Early Help and Preventative Services by enabling families to become more resilient, to have better emotional health, health and wellbeing and to develop more robust local support systems around them.

WREC will support the parents and carers of young people up to 25 years old with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, offering robust and consistent support to parents and carers whose child has either received a diagnosis, awaiting diagnosis, or considering a referral to the Neurodevelopmental (ND) Pathway. Addressing the issues raised during scoping and analysis by offering a range of options, facilitated with lived experience, that can be delivered in addition to services currently on offer across the County.

WREC will deliver the following offer throughout Kent [blended face to face and virtual]:

- 1:1 Support Sessions with parents and carers.
- Workshops focusing on key shared family issues, e.g., sleep.
- Self-help parent/carer Peer Support Groups.
- Evidence-based programmes (Cygnet)
- Area Information events in partnership with Kent & Medway CCG
- Signposting to supporting materials such as videos, books, etc.
- Jointly planned Information Events - Understanding Autism and ADHD.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To respond to telephone queries about the service from parents and local stakeholders.
- To fully complete, and submit to deadlines, accurate administrative paperwork related to the Interventions including referral forms, attendance records, completion and achievement data, progress folders, parent feedback and evaluations, and other support and statistical information as required.
- To work towards delivering performance measures outlined by the line manager.
- To contribute to reviews to identify areas for improvement with administrative processes.
- To actively contribute to the self-assessment report and quality improvement plan, as well as ongoing quality improvement processes and initiatives.
- To attend professional development as identified by your line manager.
- To undertake other duties commensurate to the grade of the post.
**PERSON SPECIFICATION**

**Qualifications**
- English and Mathematics qualification at Level 2
**Experience**
- Previous administration experience (minimum 2 years)
**Skills and abilities**
- Self-critical, with a view to always improve solutions and processes
- Ability to articulate quality service and performance requirements
- Proactive, highly motivated with an enthusiasm to meet stakeholder requirement
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and effective interpersonal skills
- Excellent ICT skills
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Able to work accurately towards targets and deadlines
