- We are looking for an SG
- **Operator**, to join our team based in Worcester. As an SG Operator you will be responsible for safely filling a wide range of Specialty Gas products (over 6000 different PR codes) using toxic, flammable and oxidant gases (including “Oxy-Flam” filling which has stringent health and safety controls) in both refillable cylinders and non-refillable canisters to exacting quality standards, producing traceable mixtures used for calibration in industry. The SG Operators also carry out some routine analysis, which includes calibration of analysers.
- A Full extensive training plan will be available, which lasts a minimum of 12 months and full support will be provided by our experienced team.**As the SG Operator you will be responsible for**:

- Filling refillable cylinders with a range of toxic, flammable and oxidant gases, including OXY-FLAM fills (which have high levels of H&S requirements and training).
- Filling non-refillable canisters with a range of gas mixtures, including toxic and flammable gases.
- Despatch activities, including generating IATA (air), IMDG (sea) and ADR (road) dangerous goods notes, booking shipments on to external courier services and having good working knowledge of legal packaging and labelling requirements.
- Meet established production and despatch schedules in line with supply KPI’s.
- Operating compressors, vacuum pumps, running cryogenic and non-cryogenic pumps.
- Pre-treatment and passivation of cylinders and canisters for reactive gas filling (using highly toxic gases).
- Preparing (vent, heat and evacuate) returned cylinders which contain a wide range of hazardous products to high levels of quality such that they can be filled with Specialty Gas mixtures.

- A positive and energetic attitude towards work
- An Excellent attention to detail, with a huge focus and understanding of Safety Processes.
- An ability to learn a wide range of chemical symbols and understand the hazards associated with oxy-flam filling.
- PC skills of a level capable of simple work on Microsoft Office packages and AP systems.
- Enthusiastic, can-do attitude to work within a small tight nit team and ability to plan their own work effectively (with guidance).
