**Overview of the position**:

- Work alongside other engineers within the design team on the development of existing designs, to enhance the overall quality of components and reduce costs.
- Prepare BOM (bills of materials) documentation for manufacturing and assemblies.
- Help to create new products including machinery, sub-assemblies, tooling, jigs and fixtures.
- Providing your mechanical design engineering services from initial concept to commissioning.
- Use 3D CAD modelling software to produce drawings of manufactured components and castings.

**Desirable skills/experience/attributes**:

- Experience working within a similar role (Mechanical/Mechatronics).
- HNC, HND or relevant education within Mechanical Engineering.
- Good understanding of CNC or bespoke machinery, sub-assemblies, tooling, fixtures.
- Thermoforming or packaging machinery (desired) or experience working on Automation machinery.
- Ability to read & produce technical drawings whilst using 3D Design Deliverables (SolidWorks preferred).
