Senior Estimator

**Job Title**: Senior Estimator
**Location**: Antrim, Northern Ireland

**Salary**: £35,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience)

**Scope**: The Senior Estimator will be responsible for multiple tender submissions, collaborating with all departments to achieve high-quality bids. The key objective is to maximise profitability while mitigating commercial risks.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Obtain and review Sub-Contractor quotations, selecting the most commercially suitable options.
- Understand tender requirements under various Design & Build Contracts (JCT, NEC) to mitigate commercial risks.
- Present tender submissions to senior management for appraisal, advising on commercial risk and opportunity.
- Ensure timely submission of tenders meeting profitability guidelines.
- Liaise with all departments to provide necessary support for tender submissions.
- Act as point of contact for contract overspends, coordinating with relevant projects.
- Attend meetings to support project delivery in line with budget and programme requirements.
- Provide commercial support for valuing variations and facilitate project launch meetings.
- Evaluate subcontractors in compliance with company health & safety and competency requirements.
- Perform any other duties as requested to support the estimating department.
- Technical proficiency with a solid understanding of the construction industry.
- Extensive experience in Design and Build projects.
- Self-motivated with strong initiative.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
