My client, a Central Government department responsible for Critical Infrastructure in the UK see an Enterprise Architect.

Responsible for developing, designing, implementing and governing the IT Enterprise Architecture (Aligned to either platform, product, service, data or security domains).

**Key Responsibilities**
- To be responsible for networking and communicating with senior stakeholders across organisation, proactively seeking out opportunities for digital transformation.
- To be responsible for supporting multiple teams, finding and using the latest best practice.
- To be accountable for the continued development and maturity of the agile Enterprise Architecture framework, principles, polices and standards.
- To be accountable for the development, delivery and governance of the IT Enterprise Architecture.To be responsible for governing the development and delivery of IT Solution Building Block's as part of the Enterprise Architecture.
- To be accountable for planning, directing and coordinating activities, engaging with other stakeholders to manage and implement solutions.
- To be accountable for domain specific budget planning & forecasting including whole life costs of IT platform, product and services. Identifying implementation risks and analysing potential impact on the Enterprise Architecture.
- To be responsible for guiding and supporting other architects to help them understand how to deliver the goals of the organisation.

**Mandatory skills & Experience**
- Bridging the gap between the technical and non-technical. You can mediate between people and mend relationships, communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
- Governance. You can evolve and define governance and take responsibility for collaborating and supporting services in wider governance. You know how to assure services delivered by technical architects across sets of services.
- Making and guiding decisions. You can make decisions characterised by medium levels of risk and complexity and recommend decisions as risk and complexity increase. You can build consensus between services or independent stakeholders.
- Strategy. You can define and challenge strategies, patterns, standards, policies, roadmaps and vision statements. You can provide proactive advice and guidance for their definition across the organisation. (Relevant skill level: practitioner)
- Turning business problems into technical design. You can design systems characterised by high levels of risk, impact and business or technical complexity.
- Understanding the whole context. You can understand trends and practices within the broader organisation and how these will impact on your work. You can look for deeper underlying problems and opportunities and anticipate problems before they occur. Youcan identify the impact of changes to policy.
- Experience of leading the design and implementation of IT services and Architectural Building Blocks.
- Experience of defining complex technical models and communicating technical models clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience of using Enterprise Architecture tooling, integration or notation
