**The role**:
We are seeking a Maintenance Assistant who will work closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure that Battersea Place Village and Nursing Home continues to operate efficiently, is reflective of our brand, representative of our people and residents, and is a safe, engaging place to work, live or visit.

The role is challenging, fast paced and varied so we are looking for a multi-talented, hands on assistant who has a variety of general building, electrical, plumbing and maintenance skills.

**What you will do**:

- Complete a wide range of day to day maintenance tasks (including basic plumbing, electrical and painting) within the village and nursing home
- Assist with mandatory checks such as legionella, lighting and fire alarm testing
- Investigate and repair equipment or building faults within the village and onsite nursing home
- Respond to maintenance related requests from residents and management

**Experience, skills, and knowledge required for the role**:

- At least 2 years’ experience in a maintenance or similar handyman role
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness and ability to undertake multiple tasks, take ownership and use initiative
- Proactive, friendly, and professional with the confidence to effectively manage own workload
- Highly adaptable and organised with an eye for detail
- Strong understanding of Health and Safety and Statutory compliance
- An electrical or plumbing qualification is an advantage
