£30,000 - £35,000 plus benefits
Bolton, Greater Manchester.
An independent multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy based in Bolton town centre currently have a vacancy for a Structural Technician to join their Civil & Structural department to work on a truly diverse range of projects across several wide-ranging sectors.**
The company have recently won an influx of both new-build and refurbishment design projects that are a quite niche (including several fire-stations and sports centres across the UK) to run alongside their usual work with the NHS among other clients.
You will be joining a well-established company with decades of experience in a company of just under 20 full-time staff who also have a sizeable Architectural department to work hand-in-hand with. You will be one of 3 Structural Technicians as there are already2 who will be on hand to assist and work together.
The right Structural Technician will:
- Be fluent in their use of AutoCAD to produce technical structural drawings
- Hold a minimum of an ONC in Civil Engineering or relevant engineering course.
- Have at least some Revit experience (not essential as training can be provided but some operation familiarity or experience is preferred)
- Be able to use and create project templates and filters to in-house standards.
- Be able to produce 3D BIM models to a Level 2 Standard. All to in-house BIM specifications.
- Have good engineering knowledge and understanding of key structural engineering principals.
Remuneration packages will range from £30,000 to £35,000 as a basic salary along with 20 days annual leave (plus 3 that are gifted over the Christmas shutdown between Boxing Day and New Years Day) and an employer-contributory pension scheme.
