Hamilton House Rest Home are a small and friendly, live in care home for the over 65s. With 15 rooms offering a combination of single and shared accommodation, we supply care and support to mainly elderly adults over the age of 65. The care we offer is varied and every day is different. We focus on person centred care so will support as needed with personal care such as toileting and showering, assisting with medication and providing companionship and partnering in social activities such as games, jigsaws, singing and other service user interests.

**Job Description**:
Cook - 4 shifts (24 hours) per week
- Required to prepare, cook and present well-balanced, good quality, pre-planned meals and beverages that reflect choice and preferences to our elderly residential clients with consideration for any cultural and dietary needs.
- To ensure a good standard of hygiene, cleanliness and safety in the kitchen, servery and store areas are maintained at all times and documented daily.
- Control stock and maintain records to ensure food is stored in accordance with Health & Safety Standards.
- To identify workloads and organise accordingly.
- To perform other related duties not specifically enumerated to this job description, which may from time to time be assigned by the Home Manager or Senior on Duty.
- To ensure correct footwear and uniform is worn.
- To attend staff meetings and training sessions when required.
- All health & safety required procedures are followed and documented.

Or
Cook - 3 shifts (18 hours) per week

**Requirements**:

- Level 2 Food and Hygiene minimum requirment
- 12 months experience
