**Location - **Based at Bridge College, Openshaw with travel to Together Trust services across Greater Manchester

We are looking for a caring, supportive, positive and professional Assistive Technologist to be responsible for working with learners across Bridge College and others Trust services. Help our learners access their education, achieve their goals and support communication and independence using specialist assistive technology.

Can you be the connection between teaching staff and learners to not only discover the correct specialist equipment and software for each individual but also provide training and support for the ongoing development of the learners?

**About the role**
- As an Assistive Technologist you will be expected to assist in wider technological projects or development work as required by college management or other services. The Assistive Technologist will be expected to support the learning of students through effective use of AT and AAC.
- You will support students in generalising the use of specialist equipment in their home and community and to support students’ transition from Bridge College and other services.
- A key aspect is to support the development and maintenance of assistive technology equipment across Together Trust. Including establishing strategies and policies for maintenance, repair and to carry out regular repair of AT to keep equipment in good working order.
- Provide advice and guidance about the development of assistive technology to the Senior Leadership Team.
- Champion best practice in the creation of accessible information, assessing websites and resources for accessibility to people with disabilities including the development of new resources.
