Animal Keeper

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Animal Keeper to join our team]. As a Keeper, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of the animals in our zoo. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about wildlife conservation and animal welfare. We care for 250+ animals over 23 acres of land with animals ranging from rabbits and guinea pigs to foxes, alpascas, sheep and George our raccoon.

Duties
- Provide daily care for a variety of animals, including feeding, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring health and behavior.
- Maintain clean and safe animal habitats by performing routine cleaning tasks.
- Assist with the enrichment programs to promote natural behaviors and mental stimulation for the animals.
- Be able to administer medication or be willing to learn how to.
- Monitor animal behavior and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the overall operation of the zoo runs smoothly.
- Participate in educational programs and public presentations to educate visitors about the animals and their conservation.
- Must be able to work independantly or and in a group.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: £15,299.02-£24,288.48 per year

Expected hours: 12 - 30 per week
