**WHAT TO EXPECT**

As a Global Strategic Buyer, you will utilise your experience to analyse, define, and implement market and sourcing strategies for your designated commodities on behalf of JLR. In addition, you will support and work closely with the Regional Delivery teams and engage with specialists within the Purchasing Function as required to ensure optimum value creation and delivery for JLR, as well as leading stakeholder relationships and ensuring the business is appropriately represented both internally and externally. You will manage suppliers within your designated commodities, and responsible for Supplier Business Reviews ensuring that the Global Commodity Strategy and Supply Base Market strategy is effectively deployed throughout all of JLR and the external supply chain. This position will play a vital role with contributing to the future strategy of JLR and will create various opportunities to cooperate with different business areas.

**Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities**
- Responsible for Strategic Commodity Dossier (SCD) and Commodity Business Plan (CBP) delivery, ensuring relevant data is updated and understood in order to make strategic recommendations
- Deliver sourcing in line with policy and to agreed targets through GSP and deploying TCO/TVO approach
- Lead supplier negotiations and contracting with the support of the Regional teams including legal and financial approval pre SCPA, also engaging specialist teams where appropriate e.g. Global Purchasing Finance (GPF)
- Working with the Regional Delivery Teams, lead the development of the supplier relationships globally for your designated commodities

**WHAT YOU'LL NEED**

To be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate capability to create high quality long-term purchasing strategies. In addition, be an enthusiastic individual who responds constructively to new ideas and inputs.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Experience**

**Essential**:

- Experience in identifying opportunities for creating value in a commodities and influence cross-functional engagement.
- Experience in the execution of commodity and supplier strategy.
- Ability to ensure effective cost management of designated commodities and suppliers.
- Experience working with Capacity Planning Teams (CPT) to manage strategic capacity changes and constraints (Post SCPA).
- Experience working closely with Global Commodity Leaders, to develop the supplier relationships globally for your designated commodities.
