**SEN Teaching Assistant - Kingsbury**

Are you looking to start your career in education as an SEN Teaching Assistant? Love supporting children? Live local to Kingsbury?

If so, we are recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a fantastic SEN School, located in the Kingsbury area. This will be a full time role, from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm. As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will need to be confident supporting the child with their learning, development and personal growth.

You must have worked with children in some professional capacity & be able to provide us with a reference relating to the role.

**The Role**:

- Support children in the deaf unit of the school
- As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will contribute to creating a safe, supportive & engaging learning environment
- Build a close bond with the child to ensure they feel comfortable both inside & outside the classroom
- Communicate closely with colleagues to ensure progress of students is prioritised as an SEN Teaching Assistant
- Work with the deaf children as a shared TA on a 1:2/ 1:3 basis in the EYFS

**Requirements**:

- Will need to be a good nonverbal communicator (use of BSL / Makaton / Gesture) and good oral communicator to model language for the pupils
- Willing to support SEN children as an SEN Teaching Assistant
- Have experience with children in some professional capacity you can provide a reference for
- Must be comfortable supporting children with challenging behaviour
- Live local to Kingsbury or within a commutable distance
