Animal Charity Support Worker

We're currently looking for an Animal Charity Support Worker
**About the Role**
As a member of our team you will be responsible for the daily husbandry of the animals on site including cleaning, diet preparation, record keeping and enclosure redesign/basic repair. Other duties will include supporting people with learning disabilities, planning, evaluating and executing environmental enrichment programme for the animals under your care and delivering meet and greets/memorable experiences to those individuals we support. To excel in this role you will need good initiative to come up with new ideas to help move the project forward and to help & assist the charity increase revenue and minimise costs, whilst maintaining excellent standards.
This role is permanent working parti time with flexible hours to suit the project; spread over 5.5 days out of 7. Shifts include weekdays, weekends & bank holidays; flexibility is required to meet the needs of the project.
**About You**
**We are looking for the following skills and experience;**
**Practical experience working with a wide range of domestic animals & exotic birds, experience is necessary for this role.**
**An advantage but not essential - An understanding of supporting people with learning disabilities**
- Exceptional presentation skills
- The ability & passion to interact with our clients
- Enthusiasm to learn & develop in the role
- Good level of understanding of animal behaviour and the care of animals
- Experience in training new behaviours from scratch using positive reinforcement
- Strong communication & basic computer skills
- Efficient time management and organisational skills
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £11.44 per hour
Expected hours: 6 - 35 per week
