**Fire Risk Assessor**

**Home based with travel across Scotland and North of Enland.**

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Health, Safety and Fire Professional to join our team delivering high quality consultancy services and to develop and lead a field-based team of Consultant’s undertaking risk assessments and providing Health, Safety and Fire services.

This role is home-based and will work with our clients across Scotland and our team of highly skilled and experienced consultants. A working knowledge of delivering Health and Safety Consultancy Services is essential. Ideally IFireE, MIFSM, MIFPO or equivalent. DSEAR Risk Assessment experience would be advantageous. Strong commercial awareness and excellent communication skills are also key to this role.

Your time will be spent working with clients as a Health, Safety and Fire Consultant undertaking inspections, risk assessments and other activities associated within the fields of Health, Safety and Fire, whilst maintaining the best interests of the Client.

You will be working with a team of specialist professional consultants who are encouraging and helpful, sharing their wealth of knowledge. **Essential skills/experience**:

- 5+ years' experience within the built environment in industrial, residential or commercial buildings
- Recognised body membership in health, safety and fire e.g. AIFireE, MIFireE, GIFireE, MIFSM or MIFPO, GRADIOSH, CMIOSH, MIIRSM, NEBOSH Diploma, NCRQ Level 6
- Good working knowledge of Approved Document B and BS 9999 / 9997
- Education suitable to be competent to carry out Fire risk assessments

**Desirable but not essential**:

- Experience with complex buildings and engineered solutions within the built environment
- Must be happy to undertake Fire Risk Assessments and General Risk Assessments at the same time
- Experience with General Risk Assessments in buildings
- Strong interpersonal skills and report writing abilities as well as a comprehensive understanding of current UK regulations
