**Join EDF as a Commercial Assistant, and you’ll join one of the most exciting and challenging projects within EDF, as we continue to lead the rebirth of nuclear in the UK.**

At Hinkley Point C (HPC) we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.

As a Commercial Assistant, you will be responsible for any contract assigned to you and providing commercial support to the Commercial Management Team. You’ll be working closely and pro-actively with the other team members at all levels and across all the teams within Nuclear New Build to ensure that the requirements of the individual contracts and their impact upon the overall HPC Project are successfully delivered.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Providing support to the HPC Commercial Management Team and to the Project Managers.
- Administrating the Early Warning process.
- Attending progress review meetings, ensuring contractual deliverables are met.
- Monitoring and reporting on commercial aspects of the contract and/or project flagging issues at the earliest opportunity to the Commercial Management Team.
- Providing advice and information on contract change including proposed scope changes, recommending appropriate action, and producing required documentation.
- Preparing of commercial cost reports and progress measurement.
- Undertaking final account reviews, settlements, and reconciliations to facilitate project close out.
- Administrating commercial management tools including, but not limited to, CEMAR and SAP.

**Who you are**

Your background may include some of the following:

- Good working knowledge of contracts, basic estimating, valuations, cost reporting and financial modelling.
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail, with a strong understanding of MS Excel
- Basic understanding of contract performance measurement, risk management and change and claim management.
- Good negotiating, influencing and communication skills to command professional respect at all levels is essential.
- Educated to degree level or have relevant work experience with ability to demonstrate a track record of successful contract administration.
- Experience of working as part of a team within a commercial environment
