Workshop Labourer

We are working with a well-established engineering business in Braintree that due to growth, is looking to recruit several additional roles.

It has a large regular order book, but also undertakes regular bespoke architectural projects for clients in the rail and commercial sectors. In the past, they have also done one-off projects including the Cenotaph War Memorial in London.

They are looking to recruit some Workshop Labourers who will be responsible for the general labour of the site.

You will be responsible for:

- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
- General labouring.
- Ensuring health and safety is being followed in the workshop.

As the business grows, there may be opportunities to go into the production side of the foundry.

The organisation has ambitious plans to grow its production over the next few years, so there will be plenty of scope for career development and it is happy to support any personal development/training required to do this.

They are prepared to pay an hourly rate of £11.52-£12.22 (£23,300-£24,800), although this will be reviewed regularly and they do have a performance related bonus.

The company also usually awards a profit-related bonus of £1k pa and overtime is paid 1.5x Monday-Saturday and 2x on Sunday.
