Out of School Club Playworker

Busy Bees currently have vacancies for our Beehive before and after school club to start in September. Our Beehive club is very popular and we collect children from Westfield, Abbey and Elsea Park schools. We provide staff with all necessary training including safeguarding, food hygiene, prevent, FGM and many other courses.

Beehive Leader - leading our team of beehive staff and planning activities for the children and dropping off and collecting children from school. Childcare qualification and experience essential for this position. Term time only 7.30-9.30am and 2.30-6pm Monday to Friday. Extra hours during the week and in school holidays available in nursery to cover staff absences and holidays.

Beehive Playworkers - working with our beehive team to deliver activities for the children and dropping off and collecting children from school. Childcare qualification preferable but not essential. Term time only 7.30/8-9.30am and 2.30-5/5.30/6pm Monday to Friday. Extra hours during the week and in school holidays available in nursery to cover staff absences and holidays.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, creative and appropriate play experiences during the out of school club session.
- Take part in the day-to-day administration of the Club as agreed and in accordance with the Club’s policies and procedures.
- Provide full care for the children including escorting to and from school.
- Develop good relations with children, parents and other staff to contribute to a harmonious environment.
- Preparing snacks.
- Daily set up and removal of equipment and resources.
- Attending meetings and training when required
