Electrical Fitter

**Job Description** Job Summary**:As an Electrical Fitter, you will be operating in a working shipyard and will be responsible for the electrical installation, upgrade, repair and refit in relation to projects on site. Duties to (include but not limited to) - installation and removal of electrical cables, systems and equipment, on new build projects and refits.
- Installation of all cable types (multicore, single and co axial)
- Manufacture and installation of cable containment types (tray, ladder, conduit, trunking)
- Cable terminations and installation of electrical equipment
- Carry out preventative maintenance work on plant and equipment.
- Testing of electrical systems
- Fault finding and rectification
- Assist other disciplines when required.
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces

**Qualifications**
- Time served electrical fitter either in a shipyard or similar field activity where refit work was undertaken.
- Relevant qualification, indentured apprenticeship, NVQ, City & Guilds etc..
- Understanding of electrical drawings and technical documents.
- Knowledge and compliance of work place safety.
- Work execution independently according to valid instructions, rules and other standards.
- Flexible cooperation with other team-members.
