Drylining Apprentice

Apprentices will be working in all aspects of Drylining.

Some examples are:
**Drylining**
- Installing various types of plasterboard to various substructures
- Building various types of stud walling, curved, straight and angled
- Using metal frame stud walling to create acoustically sound walls
- Using tape and joint method to fill and joint plasterboard ready for painting

Although this is a Drylining apprentice role, there may at times be some other aspects of construction involved in, which they shall be supervised and trained. When the apprentices are working, they will be supervised by a fully qualified member of staff and will be shown all the correct procedures including health and safety in the workplace. Along with ensuring that their work area is clean and safe, and that all the tools are cleaned and put away correctly at the end of each day.

**What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?**

After this apprenticeship, you will recieve the availability to become a self-employed Dryliner with the employer. You will gain knowledge, experience and skill whilst learningf the trade of a dryliner.

**Working Week**

Apprentices will be expected to work a minimum of 40 hours a week, 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday with exception for college. Subject to change down to employers discretion.
