Our client, as part of their continued expansion is looking for a Driver Trainer / Assessor to ensure staff performance within their busy transport team. This role will involve an aspect of variation in shifts with 5am being the earliest start. The rolewill focus on ensuring that all drivers and runners are competent and trained to operate company vehicles effectively

Duties will include: -- Inducting new drivers and runners
- Performing driver assessments and training to ensure drivers are competent and trained to the correct standards
- Performing CPC driver training
- Maintaining driver training records
- Monthly toolbox talks
- Ongoing audit of driver performance, particularly focusing on non-conformance, accidents, near misses, customer complaints, etc
- Thorough knowledge of current legislation for LGV vehicles
- Knowledge of driver working regulations, tachograph operation, etc
- IOSH (or equivalent)
- A background in driver training
