Legal Counsel

**Legal Counsel required for a Not for Profit organisation.**

**Epsom/Hybrid
- 35 hours per week**

**6 Month FTC**

**£49,000**

I am currently recruiting a UK national charity; they are seeking a Legal Counsel to assist staff with procurement and contract activities.
Working with the Head of Legal & Risk, you will be responsible for providing commercial legal support across the organisation, ensuring the contract and procurement policies are followed. This is a brilliant role to develop our legal work and improve our waysof working across the charity.

A diverse, supportive, and collaborative Legal & Risk team. You’ll work alongside a Data Protection Manager, Risk & Assurance Manager and Paralegal, reporting to the Head of Legal & Risk. You’ll also have access to external legal support.

A varied workload from low level commercial participation agreements to high level technology agreements. No two days will be the same.

You’ll gain a wide depth of knowledge, outside of a typical private practice role. You’ll give advice on public sector grants, corporate fundraising, services and IT, merchandise and product innovation, corporate training services, and industry sector collaborations.

**Skills and Experience**:
Strong commercial contracts experience.
Educated to degree level, and either a qualified lawyer or qualified by relevant experience in legal or contracts/procurement environment, ideally with three years + PQE experience.
Able to prioritise and manage a wide and varied workload.
Able to work both independently and collaboratively across a complex organisation.
Excellent skills in building relationships and managing stakeholders.

Experience working in the charity, volunteering and/or not-for-profit sector (desirable).
