As our **Senior New Homes Officer, **you will develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to support our customers and assess clients’ needs to ensure effective service delivery. You will advise and supportour customers in resolving their queries and issues, ensuring that their expectations are managed and proactive resolutions are identified.

**What we're looking for in our Senior New Homes Officer**:

- Good knowledge of technical/ construction terms and processes, including defect management
- The ability to work independently, exercising good initiative and judgement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven time management and prioritisation skills
- Proven experience and ability to deliver excellent customer care and valuing diversity
- Proven attention to detail and ability to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and targets
- Experience working with a diverse range of customers
- Excellent IT skills
- Excellent relationship management and strong influencing skills
- Experience in managing contractors to deliver high quality customer experience

**What you can expect to be doing as our Senior New Homes Officer**:

- Updating and maintaining systems/ records to ensure that information/data is kept up to date and accurate and that KPI’s are met
- Ensuring that all policies and procedures are adhered to so that consistent and standard practice is achieved across the organisation
- Monitoring and escalating critical outstanding actions relating to the handover of new schemes as appropriate
- Making sure that the contractor fulfills their customer care obligations during and after construction
- Managing, coordinating and investigating responses to complaints received by the New Homes Team. Visiting customers where necessary to resolve issues that arise in a professional and courteous manner
- Chasing contractors for resolution of defects and liaise with aftercare teams to make sure outcome is satisfactory for Peabody and residents
- Attending site visits and equipment demos for new schemes to develop staff training materials and resident home demonstrations
- Designing and delivering training activities to staff to ensure that customer facing staff have a comprehensive knowledge of new homes in the Defects Liability Period
- Monitoring the wider industry to ensure compliance and best practice are adhered to
- Assisting Development Managers/Officers with customer care issues during construction
