Would you like to be part of a dynamic and evolving team within the 0-19 service in Gloucestershire? We have a vacancy for a qualified Health Visitor and we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated professional to join the ‘Turn Around Children’s Service’(TAC’s) working with the ‘Family Drug and Alcohol Court’ (FDAC).

FDAC is an innovative, problem-solving family court, working intensively with parents in care proceedings when children have reached the threshold for removal due to the ongoing risk of significant harm. The aim of FDAC is to improve outcomes for children and their families in timescales that fit with the child’s permanency plan. It offers intensive, therapeutic interventions that have proven success in supporting parents to overcome substance and alcohol misuse, domestic violence and mental health issues.
- The post holder will have responsibility to assess, implement and evaluate care programs offered to individuals’ families and their communities based on a model of progressive universalism
- As part of a skill mix team, the SCPHN HV will lead the delivery of the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme and deliver the personalised level of service identified through a high quality needs analysis.
- To work within the guidelines of the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and to follow local protocols and policy guidelines.
- Safeguarding: Adults (Care Act 2014) and Children (Section 11 of the Children Act 2004)
- Every member of staff has a responsibility to be aware of and follow at all times, the relevant national and local policy in relation to safeguarding children and safeguarding adults. This includes keeping up to date with relevant training and seeking supervision.

This post requires the post holder to be able to undertake all statutory and mandatory training and post holders must be able to undertake physical interventions. Fitness for physical intervention will be assessed by Occupational Health.
