What it's like to work here:The **Yorkshire Coast **portfolio as a whole does not form a single cohesive geographic entity, but consists of no less than sixteen pieces of land spread along some forty miles of coastline, between Saltburn-by-the-Sea in the north and Newbiggin, near Filey. The larger pieces are of (small) farm scale, while many are little more than single fields, with adjoining shoreline (which is often the feature of conservation value).
**Bridestones **is known predominantly for its impressive sandstone features which are the remnants of Jurassic sedimentary rock laid down over 150-million years ago, and can be seen along the moorland skyline. The associated woodland areas are mainly located along the steeper valley sides of Dovedale Griff, Bridestones Griff and the northern edge of Stain Dale to the south. The woodlands contribute hugely to the diversity of habitats in the immediate area which consists of a mix of open moorland, mature ancient woodland, young broadleaf plantations and grassy glades.
Based out of Ravenscar, this role includes management of the southern half of the Yorkshire Coast starting with Saltwick Nab in the north down to Newbiggin in the south. It also includes the management of the Bridestones.
