REPORTS TO: Branch Manager
LOCATION: Consett
**OVERALL OBJECTIVES**
As Travel Consultant, you will build and maintain positive relationships with customers, displaying a high level of commitment, enthusiasm, and product knowledge to deliver exceptional customer service and maximise bookings in branch.
You will have a natural affinity for people and will identify and meet customer needs, exceeding expectations at every opportunity.
In line with the Company sales process, you will create inspiring travel itineraries and explore opportunities to add value and up sell.
**KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide exceptional customer service and travel solutions.
- Plan details for travel including package holidays, transportation, accommodation, and airlines.
- Make travel reservations using various booking systems and in line with company procedures.
- Identify customer travel needs and budgets to provide a tailored service.
- Create point of sale including window cards and posters to attract customers into branch.
- Collect payments recording transactions on the back-office system.
- Assist clients by resolving travel issues, complaints, and where appropriate.
- Meet and exceed agreed sales targets and profit goals for their branch.
- Participate in promotional events to increase brand and branch awareness.
- Handle foreign exchange transactions and ordering currency stock as required.
- Up sell other products including travel Insurance.
- Prepare the branch ready to begin trading and assisting in keeping the branch clean and tidy.
- Stocking the displays with collateral including brochures.
**WORKING ENVIRONMENT**
The successful individual will join a close-knit team, working collaboratively with other members of the team to maximise the performance of the branch.

- Have proven customer service and sales experience.
- Have strong attention to detail.
- Be a competent IT user.
- Be able to manage conflicting priorities and solve problems effectively.
- Be able to influence others, to convert enquiries into bookings.
- Have a strong work ethic and be a team player.
**Desirable**
- Have a minimum of one years’ experience as a Travel Consultant.
- Have proven travel product knowledge with a good working knowledge of booking systems.

**Salary**: Up to £23,000.00 per year
