**Radiology Department Assistant/Imaging Assistant**

**Location: The Wilmslow Hospital, Cheshire**
**Contract type: Bank**

**Shift types: 16:00 - 20:00 with some longer shifts to cover A/L & Sickness**
**Pay: Bank hourly rate between £11.69ph - £14.29ph dependent upon shift.**

**Rates inclusive of WTR include indicative additional amount separately payable on claiming accrued annual leave. WTR is calculated on the average hourly pay rate over the preceding 52 weeks and may therefore differ from the amount included in the above WTR rates**

As part of our Bank you’ll have first refusal ahead of agencies on a range of shifts across our network of leading private hospitals, all of which are currently rated ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC. **Duties**:

- To assist healthcare professionals in performing imaging procedures eg. room preparation, preparation of medical equipment for interventional procedures, chaperoning of patients and general patient care.
- To support infection control measures in the Imaging Department, eg. assist with preparation of rooms and cleaning up afterwards.
- To be responsible for stock control in area.
- To assist in the training of new non-radiographic staff, enabling them to become fully conversant with the duties applicable to them.
- To be familiar with, and comply with, the Health & Safety, Ionising Radiation and COSHH policies as outlined by the department.
- To ensure that all clinical and other information records are fully and accurately completed, including the Imaging department computer systems.

**What you’ll bring**:

- Previous experience in an Imaging/Radiology department (desired)
- Previous experience in a Hospital setting (essential
- Good communication skills
- Good IT/Microsoft skills
