Summary

Brunshaw Primary School are looking to appoint a Pupil Mentor who has the passion and enthusiasm to help our children and families who may need extra support.

There will also be some time required over holidays to check-in with key children and their families. This time will not be fixed - it can be arranged on an ad-hoc/needs basis, and some of this work can be carried out from home.
We are looking for someone who will:

- Be supportive of the community ethos of this school

The post advertised is term time only (39 weeks per year)Essential Qualifications

Professional/academic level 3 qualification or equivalent or substantial experience in a relevant field.

Essential Experience

Experience of, or the ability to demonstrate the competence to work directly with individual children, young people and families to identify and assess their needs and make appropriate planned responses to improve outcomes.

Willingness to undertake training as DSL, in Early Help assessments, and more.

Desirable Experience

Experience of working with a wide range of other professionals to develop and deliver shared initiatives for children, young people and families.

Experience of fulfilling the role of a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
