**An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic leader to join our senior leadership team in children’s social care. We are seeking a Head of MASH who will play a pivotal role in ensuring the MASH provides a safe, timely and effective multi-agency response to information about the well-being of children and young people in Buckinghamshire.**

**This post will be responsible for the leadership of the MASH, Out of Hours, Edge of Care and Exploitation Hub and take a leadership role in MASH strategic development and partnership work, engaging fully and effectively with key partner agencies.**

**Salary: £80,750 - £89,250 per annum.**

**About the role**:
As the Head of MASH, you will be responsible for leading and managing our MASH, Out of Hours, Edge of Care, and Exploitation Hub Teams, bringing together professionals from various agencies to work collaboratively, ensuring that all aspects of their work is focused on improving outcomes for children and protecting children at risk.

The primary focus of this role is to guarantee a safe, timely and effective multi-agency response to information concerning the well-being of children and young people in Buckinghamshire. Your key responsibilities will include:
**Performance and Quality Management**: Oversee and manage the performance and quality of work provided by MASH. Take proactive measures to address any emerging performance issues and ensure continuous improvement.

**Financial Management**: Manage budgets related to your area of responsibility, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and financial sustainability.

**Staff recruitment and retention**: Take charge of the recruitment and retention of staff within teams, fostering a positive and supportive working environment.

**Strategic Development**: Play a leadership role in the strategic development of MASH, contributing to it’s ongoing success and effectiveness in safeguarding children and young people.

**Partnership Engagement**: Engage fully and effectively with key partners in the community, fostering strong collaborative relationships to enhance multi-agency responses.

**About you**:
We are looking for applicants who have a proven track record of successful leadership in children’s social care, with experience of MASH or related fields. You’ll have a strong understanding of multi-agency working and a passion for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

With your ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with stakeholders at all levels, including members, you’ll be well versed in leading and managing change programmes to ensure seamless transition.

Demonstrable experience in budget management, performance improvement, and strategic development is essential for the role.
