**Dual Skilled Technician**

**Contract role**

**Wimbledon Depot**

**£28.00 P/H(£32.00 P/H after being signed off as safety critical)**

To undertake modification of the depot rolling stock and associated equipment in support of the operation of the depot.

**Principal Accountability's**
- With mínimal supervision undertake Modification of the allocated rolling stock to meet the requirements of the modification and production plan
- Remove and replace railway equipment in line with drawing and process specification
- Remove and replacement of internal fittings
- Operate as a member of a work team, as the role of that work team requires
- Maintain good housekeeping within the working area
- Carry out post modification testing and advanced fault finding and diagnostic activities
- Undertake any other duties as and when required within the scope of the modification work

**Knowledge & Experience**
- Must have relevant experience in an Electrical and Mechanical engineering environment
- Previous rolling stock modification experience (if not rolling stock: military, coaches, buses, aircraft, HGV) would be an advantage.
- Mechanical qualifications would be an advantage (such as NVQ 2 or 3)
- Able to act as a member of a multi-disciplined team
- Developed analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Work on own initiative where required
- Good judgement and decision-making capability
- Ability to complete all records of actions and operations accurately and to procedures
- Experience in testing and fault finding
- Ability to fully read and understand complex electric circuit diagrams
- Ability to produce technical reports
